Landscaping Progress on the Mendoza Argentina Temple Grounds
The white walls and gold accents on the exterior of the Mendoza Argentina Temple are a striking combination for Argentina's fourth house of the Lord. It stands in the foothills of the Andes Mountains as a reminder of God's love for His children. Landscapers are making excellent progress and are in the final stages of completing the grounds.
Scaffolding Reaches the Top of the San Diego California Temple
Scaffolding has been extended to the tops of the spires of the San Diego California Temple in preparation for refurbishment of the finials and angel Moroni statue. Renovation of the temple has been underway for the past seven-and-a-half months. Leaks in the roof and windows have been addressed while outdated systems and materials are being replaced inside. Over 720,000 visitors toured the temple when it opened in 1993.
Framing the Roof for the Yorba Linda California Temple
A waterproofing sealant is turning the bluish exterior walls of the Yorba Linda California Temple a concrete-like gray. Inside the walls, steel framing is underway for the roof, the load-bearing walls and columns, and the window frames. Concrete has been poured for the baptismal font and stairs and for the curbing in the parking areas. Several shipments of marble and granite cladding have arrived, but prayers are requested for the prompt delivery of other materials that have been delayed in transit.
Handsome Front Portico of the Deseret Peak Utah Temple
The temporary chain-link fence along the front side of the Deseret Peak Utah Temple site has been moved back, providing better views of the beautiful building including the main entrance portico. The portico features three arched openings that mirror the art glass doors and windows behind them. Handrails have been installed along the ramps and staircases. More plantings in the flowerbeds are expected in the spring.
