Tucson Arizona Temple Monument Sign GildedGilding of the inscription on the natural stone face of the Tucson Arizona Temple monument sign has been completed. The sign is surrounded by beautiful desert vegetation, typical of the area. Open house tickets can be acquired beginning three weeks from today.

Building Details Gilded at the Tucson Arizona TempleThe symbolic architectural details located on the upper corners of the Tucson Arizona Temple have been covered in gold leaf, coordinating beautifully with the angel Moroni statue. The temple will be completed in time for a June open house, followed by a cultural celebration and dedication in August.

Summer Dedication Slated for Tucson Arizona TempleThe Tucson Arizona Temple will open to the public for an open house beginning Saturday, June 3, 2017, and continuing through Saturday, June 24, 2017, except for Sundays. The temple will be dedicated in three sessions on Sunday, August 13, following a cultural celebration the evening prior.

On Christmas morning, Tucson members found snow had fallen on the mountains surrounding the temple site—its pure white symbolic of the holy work performed in The Lord's House.

Shingling is expected to begin shortly. The temple will serve members from 10 stakes in Southern Arizona.

The dome will be covered in shingles and topped with a "lantern" where the angel Moroni will stand. The height of the building to the top of Moroni will be 86.6 feet.
