New missionaries arriving in the Perú Trujillo Mission are thrilled to see the Trujillo Perú Temple on the drive from the airport to the mission home. It has become a tradition to pull over and snap a photograph before finishing the journey.

Preparing the Grounds of the Trujillo Perú Temple
At the Trujillo Perú Temple, laborers and heavy equipment are performing fine grading of the site in preparation for pouring the walkways and landscaping elements that will define the grounds for beautiful gardens. A roof has been attached to the adjacent accommodation center.

The Trujillo Perú Temple continues to take shape with the recent addition of the framework for single steeple. The exterior walls of the building have all been poured, which feature beautiful arched window openings.

During a recent trip to South America, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve toured the Trujillo Perú Temple complex. The temple features beautiful arches throughout the design including the portico and the window openings that, in coming months, will frame beautifully colored art glass.

More Main Floor Walls for the Trujillo Perú Temple
Peru's second temple continues to rise in the northern city of Trujillo. The reinforced cement exterior walls are being poured for the main level, and rebar is in place for the parapet. At the last General Conference, a third temple was announced for Peru for the southern city of Arequipa.

Construction of Peru's Second Temple Begins in Trujillo
On Wednesday, September 14, construction of the Trujillo Perú Temple formally commenced with a groundbreaking ceremony held at the temple site, located next to the beautiful Campo Eterno cemetery. See the official Web site.
