Reservations for Gilbert Arizona Temple to be Made Available Beginning December 30Tremendous interest has been expressed in the Gilbert Arizona Temple open house with many asking when and how tickets may be reserved. The Church has announced that open house tickets will become available beginning Monday, December 30, 2013, via an online reservation system. And while groups will be accommodated during non-peak times, LDS members are encouraged to attend with family rather than in Church groups.

Dedication of Gilbert Arizona Temple AnnouncedThe First Presidency has announced the opening dates for the Gilbert Arizona Temple. The public will be invited to an open house beginning Saturday, January 18, and continuing through Saturday, February 15, 2014 (except Sundays). The temple will be dedicated in three sessions on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Gilbert Temple Portico, Palm Trees, and Curbing ActivityAt the Gilbert Arizona Temple, steel framing has been erected for the entrance portico and approximately 70 palms trees have been planted. Cement work is underway to lay the curbing, walk ways, and parking lot, which will be surrounded by beautiful landscaping elements.

Gilbert Arizona Temple Receives Beautiful Panes of Art GlassBoarded window openings at the Gilbert Arizona Temple are transforming into beautiful blue bands as panes of decorative art glass are installed. The windows are inspired by the agave blossom motif used throughout the temple. Work also continues on the grounds where curbing has been poured and palms trees planted. The temple is expected to open next year.

Gilbert Arizona Temple Grows Yet Taller with New Framing for SpireFraming for the single central tower of the Gilbert Arizona Temple is being erected atop the steel skeleton standing at the corner of Greenfield Road and Pecos Road. The graceful lines of the spire will ultimately reach 180 feet in the air in an inspiring gesture toward heaven. When the temple opens in 2013, the district will include Southeast Valley communities like Queen Creek, which has grown from one stake to five in just ten years.

Scaffolding once surrounding the structures has come down, giving onlookers a sense of the magnitude of the building.
